Southwell Christian Aid Committee, which is part of Churches Together in Southwell, wishes to express its gratitude to all our supporters in Southwell, and nearby villages.
Thanks to your generous donations we have been able to donate a fantastic £7,300 to Christian Aid.
“Every last drop” highlighted the immense problems faced in Kenya through water shortage, the result of climate change -which is the focus of Christian Aid’s work in 2021. The money raised locally will enable the charity to offer 5 communities the money to build an earth dam at £1,400 each, giving them a reliable source of water – vastly improving their lives and livelihoods.

Thank you

Global Hunger Appeal
More that 41 million people in 43 countries are teetering on the brink of famine. Without immediate action, men, women and children will lose their lives. This is a global hunger emergency exacerbated by Covid-19, violent conflict and the climate crisis. South Sudan, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Burkina Faso are threatened by starvation.
We are aware that Christian Aid week has only recently ended but this is a very real global threat.
