The English Cathedral Exhibition (Peter Marlow Foundation), Tuesday 2-30 August
Peter (1952-2016) was commissioned in 2008 by Royal Mail to photograph six Anglican Cathedrals to mark the 300th anniversary of St Paul’s Cathedral for a collection of commemorative stamps. So enticed by the beauty of the Cathedrals, he decided to shoot all 42. He chose to photograph each one in the same way, looking down the nave, lit only with natural light at dawn. The result distils the spirit of the English Cathedral, highlighting not only their often massive scale, timeless architecture and their intimate beauty.

Plant Hunters' Fair, Sunday 7 August
A wide selection of plants for sale from nurseries throughout the country including many rare species. This popular fair is situated in the beautiful gardens of The Archbishop’s Palace next to Southwell Minster.

Cinderella (outdoor theatre by Chapterhouse Theatre), Sunday 14 August

Tina's Ultimate 80's Rock Night, Saturday 20 August
The Ultimate 80’s Rock Show returns to The Palace Gardens at Southwell Minster after last year's sell-out show! Not to be missed

Twelfth Night (outdoor theatre by The HandleBards), Saturday 3 September
In usual HandleBards style, expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter. And what’s the play about? Well – Duke Orsino is in love with Lady Olivia, but she won’t have anything to do with suitors. Viola is shipwrecked and believes her twin brother Sebastian to be dead. Meanwhile, a bunch of Olivia’s servants plot to make a fool out of her pompous Butler, Malvolio. There’s drunkenness, frivolity and cross-dressing a plenty!

Bramley Apple Festival of Food & Drink - Saturday 29 October
Southwell’s best loved food and drink fair returns for its annual autumn slot at Southwell Minster. Dozens of stallholders offering all manner of food and drink including pies, chocolates, jams, chutneys, pickles, sausages and much much more and once again this year we’ll be having live cookery demonstrations

There will be around 60 stalls selling a wide range of goods in the Minster, as well as an additional 15 in the stunning State Chamber of The Archbishop’s Palace next door. This is one of the region’s most loved events and is the perfect place to pick up a gift for a loved one whilst helping support independent businesses. Expect jewellery, ceramics, glassware, textiles, hand-crafted cards and much, much more.
