Family Fun Day: Friday 30 July 2021
Join us for some dragon and medieval themed fun at the Minster and Palace Gardens. Archery, crafts, music, demonstrations and lots more for all the family! Suggested donation: £1 per child aged 3 -16 All welcome, no need to book! Small charges may apply for some of the activities.

Plant Hunters’ Fair: Sunday 8 August 2021
A wide selection of plants for sale from nurseries throughout the country including many rare species. This popular fair is situated in the beautiful gardens of The Archbishop’s Palace next to Southwell Minster.

Farewell To All That: Sunday 8 August – Sunday 12 September 2021
We are delighted that acclaimed sculptor Peter Eugene Ball has chosen Southwell Minster to host is last ever exhibition. Farewell To All That will feature more than 50 new works (all will be available to purchase). Peter is no stranger to the Minster, his majestic Christus Rex was installed high above the nave in 1987, becoming a focus for contemplation and worship. Three more sculptures followed, as well as several major exhibitions. Peter explains, ‘for me, Southwell Minster is the perfect setting for my final show’.

Heritage Open Day: Saturday 11 September 2021
Come for a free tour of the glorious Chapter House, home to the world-famous Leaves of Southwell. The Chapter House has undergone a major conservation project recently, thanks to £2.2m from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. For more information on the project, see here. Booking for the tour is essential by emailing events@southwellminster.org.uk with your party size and preferred time. Tours run at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm and last approximately 45 minutes.

The Phantom of the Opera: Wednesday 15 September 2021
We will be screening the acclaimed 1929 silent film ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, alongside live improvised accompaniment from world-renowned organist Martin Baker.
