A Commemoration of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Sunday 18 September at 3pm (please be seated by 2.30pm)
A Commemoration of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Preacher: The Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham

The principal service of thanksgiving for the life of Queen Elizabeth II in Nottinghamshire takes place in Southwell Minster on Sunday at 3.00pm. Please be seated by 2.30pm. The preacher will be the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham, the Rt Revd Paul Williams. The service will include a tribute to the late Queen by the Lord-Lieutenant and will include representatives of groups with close links to Queen Elizabeth. The service will be attended by civic groups and faith leaders from across the county. The Cathedral Choir will lead the singing. All are welcome to join invited guests for this service, which will also be live-streamed to our YouTube channel and to our website at www.southwellminster.org/theme/worship-online/

Please do join in at home as you are comfortably able: you may wish to stand, sit and kneel as you normally would in church (we have included instructions for posture in the order of service for this reason), and/or to speak and sing along with the congregational elements of the service.

A live streaming of this service from the Minster will appear below at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. You do not need to sign in to watch it.

If the service doesn't appear, please refresh your browser by pressing F5 in Windows, or Command + R for Mac users.

You can also watch this service on the Southwell Minster Youtube channel: VIEW HERE

A recording of this service will remain available for one week.
