Finding peace through movement and meditation

Tuesday, October 5, 2021 7:00pm – 9:00pm

An introductory evening in how the body and movement can be used as a way of prayer bringing us to greater awareness of God, our bodies and what is going on in our inner-self. There will be a combination of movement and times of prayerful and meditative reflection. Men and women, of all faiths and none, and of all age groups welcome.

Helena Ibbotson
About twenty-five years ago Helena had a powerful sense of being led into contemplative prayer. It introduced her to the richness of different Christian spiritual traditions that has nurtured her since then. Together with her husband Stephen, they have led retreats for many years and both offer spiritual direction.

Simone Witherden
Simone is the founder and Director of the Believe Academy, Hucknall, which offers dance (ballet, tap and modern street) for all ages, from toddlers to the over 60’s. The approach is to build confidence, courage and dreams, allowing growth in self-belief and self-esteem. Through dance Simone has found freedom, sharing it with others, helping them to connect with their emotions and God.
