Friday Lunchtime at the Cathedral: Jeneba, Aminata and Mariatu Kanneh-Mason (piano trio)

Jeneba (17), Aminata (14)  and Mariatu (10) wowed audiences at one of our luchtime concerts last year and we are delighted to welcome back these three members of the super-talented Kanneh-Mason family.

The family have performed extensively across the country, including for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They have won multiple prizes and awards for their music and, after their performance on Britain’s Got Talent,  Simon Cowell named the Kanneh-Masons “the most talented family in the world”.

Home-made sandwiches (£2) and hot and cold drinks (£1) are available before the concert in the south transept. The concert lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Admission is free with a retiring collection.

Southwell Minster’s popular lunchtime concerts take place at 12.15pm on many Fridays, with performers coming from around the country to perform a wide variety of instrumental and vocal music in the spectacular setting of the Cathedral Nave.
