Liturgy of Maundy Thursday

7pm 1 April

We recall Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, before going on to reflect on his betrayal and arrest. The service ends with the dramatic stripping of the altars and the Watch, waiting with Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. For those who wish to stay (or to leave and return later), the vigil continues until 10.00pm.

The President of the Eucharist is The Very Revd Nicola Sullivan, Dean of Southwell.
The Preacherand Deacon is The Revd Prof. Alison Milbank, Canon Theologian.
The Lay Clerks of the Cathedral Choir are directed by Paul Provost, Rector Chori.
The organ is played by Jonathan Allsopp, Assistant Director of Music.
