Music and wellbeing

Tuesday, November 16, 2021 7:00pm – 9:00pm

‘Gracious God, Creator Spirit, in the making of music you have given us a delight for the mind and a solace for the heart’ – Peter Baelz

In a session based on singing and listening, we hope to explore both the delight and the solace that music can bring. The session will help those who are not regular singers to find their voice –  no experience necessary, but people who are used to singing will also be fully engaged.

Guy Turner is a Lay Clerk in Southwell Cathedral Choir. Following thirty-one years as a music teacher in schools and Further Education, he now divides his time between musical activities, including composing and conducting, and work in the quiz industry.

We suggest an offering of £10 for the session but we want you to feel free to offer what feels right to you and making a donation is not a pre-requisite to attending the event.
