Johannes Passion, JS Bach – Southwell Minster 2nd April, 2022 The inspirational surroundings of Southwell Minster will play host to April’s performance of JS Bach’s St John Passion, surely one of the most dramatic, rapturously beautiful, sometimes tear-jerkingly sorrowful yet unalloyed and unaffectedly emotional, devotional, and life-changingly inspirational pieces of music that has ever been written.
The Nottingham Bach Choir and Players will be joined by a stellar cast of soloists led by evangelist William Balkwill (Westminster Abbey).
