Saturday 5 March 2022
10am to 4pm at Sacrista Prebend Retreat House
How do we find rest in a rest-less society, space in the midst of busy, social-media soaked lives? The practice of sabbath – which literally means ‘rest’ – was foundational in Israel’s life and identity, and Jesus taught it is a gift for our human wellbeing resisting idolatry and promoting an awareness of God’s creation.
This quiet day will explore what a practice of sabbath rest might look like for us personally. It will be a blend of teaching, prayer and conversation, along with time for silence for each of us to reflect and have space to breathe!
Stephen and Helena Ibbotson have been leading retreats together for a number of years, aiming to make spiritual practices accessible and do-able within daily life. They bring a blend of theological and biblical teaching, with opportunity for quiet reflection and creativity.
