How you can support us
Make a Donation Now
Your donation and support makes a difference
Thank you for your interest by visiting this page to see how you can support the Minster’s work through an online donation.
From 16 June the nave of the Minster is open for private prayer during shorter opening hours. When the restrictions are lifted, we will extend the times and spaces open. Please check the home page for up to date information. We look forward to receiving back visitors, but we know this year numbers will be severely reduced. We need your help more than ever.
In anticipation of your gift - THANK YOU

Join our Standing Order Givers
The easiest way to give regularly is by setting up a Standing Order with your bank. This is an instruction to your bank to pay a regular set amount to Southwell Minster either monthly, quarterly or annually. In order to do this you need to complete a standing order form which you can download here. You can also set this up via your online banking, if you have it, using the details given in the form. You can of course amend or cancel this at any time.
Standing Order Giving is of great importance as it gives us the added benefit of knowing that we can rely on a regular and consistent income, making our budget planning much more straight forward. We are hugely grateful to the many people who already give by this means.
Leave a Legacy
Every gift in a will we receive helps to secure the future of the Minster for the next generation.
Southwell Minster is a resource available to everyone, and we are committed to offering free access to all. Our aim is to ensure that this special place remains in the best possible condition for future generations, and continues to benefit all people in ways that are relevant to their needs. We simply couldn’t achieve this without the gifts made by generous people.
We receive no government funding, and rely on donations and legacy gifts to continue our work. Every legacy we receive, however large or small makes a valuable contribution to all that we do.
To find out more about leaving a gift in your will please contact Andrea Pritchard andrea@southwellminster.org.uk who would be happy to answer any questions that you might have. All queries will be treated in the strictest confidence, and with no obligation.
Join the Friends of Southwell Cathedral
The Friends were formed in 1947 to provide funds to preserve the Cathedral, maintain daily worship of God and to conserve and enhance the furnishings and adornments. Members of the Friends arrange an annual festival, visits, outings and events and publish ‘Pepperpots’, a bi-annual journal.
Your generous giving, no matter the amount, is hugely appreciated and will help us carry out our important work. Please be assured that all details, including names and donation amounts, will remain fully confidential.
Please be as generous as you can. Thank you.
Southwell Minster is a registered charity.
