We continue to monitor the situation both nationally and locally and recognise that we may be asked to close for public worship if current restrictions are tightened.

The Minster remains open for public worship and private prayer for the present, but, in line with the Government guidance to avoid large gatherings of any kind, we have taken the decision to limit the size of the congregation at any of our services to 25.

Our Sunday Eucharist times continue to be 8.00am and 10.00am. If you wish to come to the 10.00am service, please book as usual through our website. We would ask, please, that if you book a place which you subsequently no longer require, you notify Erik Sharman at erik.sharman@southwellminster.org.uk, so that we can cancel your booking and free up your seat for someone else. We also ask that you consider attending the 8.00am service if you are able to do so, to leave space for others at 10.00am.

We continue to offer a weekday Eucharist (Monday–Saturday) at 1.15pm, providing a quieter alternative to Sunday services.

Finally, please remember the current Government guidance on ‘staying local’ when deciding whether to come to the Minster for a service or for private prayer – as well as being mindful of your own, and others’, health and wellbeing.

With our continued prayers and very best wishes,
Dean Nicola
