Prayer and Meditation
Stilling Prayer will not be meeting in person at Sacrista Prebend on Mondays until further notice BUT it will be moving on-line so you can observe it collectively in your own homes on Mondays 7.30-8.00pm. The leader for each evening will supply a short thought or quote to help lead everyone into silence. Please see the Worship Online page for Reflections for each week.
If you would like to join this online group please supply your email to the group's coordinator Stephen Ibbotson who can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org
This group gathers on Mondays in term time, at 7.30 pm. We lead into our half-hour of silent prayer with a brief, personal reflection. This draws on Christian writing and thought, whether it be from the Bible, spiritual classics, or contemporary writers and personal thought. The time of silence – which lasts for 30 minutes – is brought to an end with prayer at around 8.10 pm, after which those who want to can share over a coffee or tea (once we're able to meet up in person again). All are welcome, whether you are exploring this ancient way of Christian prayer for the first time, or it’s been your way of prayer for years. Stephen Ibbotson, 07972 083369 or email@example.com.
Stilling Prayer (or ‘Christian Meditation’) is held each Monday in term-time at 7.30pm. For the time being we have moved online and observe our time of silence collectively in our homes. The leader for each evening supplies a short thought or quote to help lead us into silence, in much the same way as when we meet in person. If you would like to join this online group, please email the group’s coordinator, Stephen Ibbotson, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
