Would You be Interested in Joining the Sacrista Prebend Retreat House Family as a Volunteer?

Sacrista Prebend is the retreat house belonging to Southwell Minster, serving our diocese and beyond. Sacrista is widely used by local groups and visitors from outside the diocese as a place for prayer, peace and rest.

The House is maintained by a thriving small community of volunteers who assist in running the house and maintaining the gardens. Importantly, Sacrista volunteers are supported in their roles by the clergy and staff of Southwell Minster.

We are now seeking volunteers in particular to welcome, support and facilitate those on retreat alongside the upkeep of the house and gardens. There are many ways in which you might be able to support this special feature of the Minster’s mission.

If you feel you would like to consider developing a connection to the ministry and people involved at Sacrista by becoming part of the family of Sacrista Prebend as a volunteer, we are keen to hear from you. For more information, please contact us on 01636 812649 or

All volunteers are provided with appropriate training (including Safeguarding Basic Awareness module).
