Happy Easter one and all! Christ is Risen – Alleluia

Join us at 10am for our Easter Eucharist, with joyful music, and the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham’s Easter sermon.

Following the service, there will be a Blessing of the Easter Garden in the Palace Gardens – and also our ever-popular Easter Egg hunt for children!

And we finish with Evensong at 3.30pm, as we gather to hear Easter readings and music, giving voice to the joy of the Resurrection.

Huge congratulations to the wonderful Guy Turner on completing Land’s End to John O’Groats! He has walked 1220 miles over 79 days in 6 stages, including 240 miles in the last 17 days!

Guy has done some tremendous fundraising so far, and we’re so grateful that he has chosen the Minster’s ‘eco project’ as one of the charities to benefit from his epic trek.

Start your journey to Easter Day with the Southwell Palm Sunday donkey-led Procession.

Meet at 10.00am at Our Lady of Victories Church on Halam Road and join in the procession to the Minster.

All welcome to stay as the Palm Sunday Liturgy continues in the Minster, with the Passion Gospel sung in dramatic form by the Cathedral Choir.

Our preacher at the 10.00am Cathedral Eucharist is the Revd Canon Dr Judith Maltby of the University of Oxford, and the service will include a candlelit procession around the Minster.

We also have a special Festal Evensong at 3.30pm
