Animal Blessing Service 2020
The ever popular Animal Blessing returns! Due to current COVID-related restrictions, the service will, for the first time, be held outside in the Minster grounds in the Education Garden and due to restricted numbers booking is essential.
Please note that a thorough risk assessment has been performed and control measures are in place within current government guidelines.
Dogs, cats, donkeys, hamsters … and all God’s creatures great and small are welcome, accompanied by well-behaved owners. For safety reasons, we will be unable to provide chairs so please bring your own picnic-style chairs or rugs to sit on.
Entry will be via the usual gate to the garden, but if you are bringing a large animal, e.g. a horse or donkey, please enter via the paddock gate (opposite the side of the Bowls Club down Memorial Drive).
A collection will be taken with proceeds split between Southwell Minster and Halfway Home Dog Rescue. For more information see https://www.halfwayhome-dogrescue.org
You can make a donation now, using the online form below.
Please note that there is no wet-weather alternative and so please dress appropriately for the weather. We also ask people to ensure they clean up after their pets.
