Take a tour of Southwell Minster's famous Bell Tower, where you'll be taken on a voyage of discovery to learn the fascinating history behind the bells, regarded as some of the best in the country. If the weather is dry, you might even be taken out onto the Minster roof where you'll be mesmerised by 360 degree panoramic views.
There are around 200 steps to climb so physical fitness, a head for heights and sensible shoes are essential for this tour. Please note the spiral staircase up to the tower is quite dark and narrow and the trap door out onto the roof is quite small. Therefore the tour is not for anyone who might suffer from claustrophobia, but if you are of general fitness you should be fine on this fascinating tour.
