Jill and Bernard Blackwell return to the Minster with their engaging programme of traditional music and songs from across the British Isles. It’s always a delight to hear their contrasting musical arrangements on guitar, flute, concertina, accordion and Northumbrian pipes, and being close to St Patrick’s Day, we can look forward to a “Shamrock” theme which may well include some Irish step dancing from Jill.
Admission to this concert, which lasts approximately 45 minutes, is FREE. There is a retiring collection after the concert, proceeds of which go towards the Minster’s Milo Chorister Fund which helps support the Cathedral Chorister Programme. Please pick up a free programme upon your arrival. The concert will be preceded by tea, coffee and biscuits – available from 1pm onwards.
