Friday Lunchtime Concert: Lynda Edwards

In this lunchtime concert Lynda Edwards will be playing music for bassoon by European composers from Telemann and Elgar, through to a piece written for Lynda by a Southwest composer in 2019.
We will travel from the baroque, through some late romantics and British composers, demonstrating different characteristics of the bassoon, with some fast technical passages, some slow lyrical music to pull on the heartstrings, and a few fun pieces too.

Admission to this concert, which lasts approximately 45 minutes, is FREE. There is a retiring collection after the concert, proceeds of which go towards the Minster’s Milo Chorister Fund which helps support the Cathedral Chorister Programme. Please pick up a free programme upon your arrival. The concert will be preceded by tea, coffee and biscuits – available from 1pm onwards.
