On Friday September 1st, Tim Posner, who is principal cello in the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, will be giving a lunchtime recital at the Minster, with Edward Leung, piano.
Tim will be playing Ernest Bloch’s Schelomo and Ernö Dohnanyi’s Konzertstück, both of which were composed in the early 20th Century and are tuneful, dramatic pieces in a late Romantic style. Tim will be recoding both these pieces later in the year.
Admission to this concert is FREE. There will be a retiring collection, the proceeds of which help to fund the Minster’s Organ Scholarship. Please pick up a free programme upon your arrival. The concert will be preceded by tea, coffee and biscuits – available from 1pm onwards.
