Minster Melody Makers

This wonderful group of children meets on Saturday mornings to sing and have fun. Open mainly to children in years 1-2, we will also encourage those of Reception age who are up for the challenge. We would love to have a good balance of boys and girls – we know that boys in particular may love singing but need a little more encouragement.

Led by Lauren, a member of the Cathedral Choir and a primary school teacher, the young children enjoy learning lots of songs from folk songs to the Sound of Music to the Hokey Cokey. As well as having fun, Melody Makers learn the basics of how to use their voice healthily and how to sing well together as part of a group. Many Melody Makers have gone on to become Cathedral Choristers, given an advantage through singing regularly as part of a group with expert tuition.

To sign up for Melody Makers, please contact us using this form or simply come to a session.

Melody Makers meets at 10-10.45am on Saturdays during term time in Trebeck Hall, Southwell. Sessions cost £5 (first session free).
