A Sacrista Prebend Retreat House Event

Weaving the Threads of Creation

Rescheduled to Saturday 2 April 2022
(Previouly advertised for Saturday 19th March)
10.30am to 3pm at Sacrista Prebend Retreat House

Supporting the theme of the Threads of Creation exhibition at Southwell, by textile artist Jacqui Parkinson, this quiet day offers opportunity to explore the creation story through 7 short Bible based reflections interspersed throughout the day alongside a simple weaving technique, using a peg loom. You will be guided into quiet reflection and prayerful creativity through the rhythm of weaving, and the exploration of colour and texture to facilitate time with God.

The day will be experiential, mostly quiet, with input, space for reflection and gentle guidance in practical exploration of techniques to create a small woven prayer. We will concentrate on the process, allowing us to draw closer to God rather than on a finished, polished product.
All workshop materials will be provided.
