Things are still looking a little different inside and outside the Minster at the moment, as our contractors have temporarily taken over the south quire aisle and entrance to the Chapter House, and claimed the outdoor space at Trebeck Hall for their site office and builders’ yard. The Chapter House passageway (slype) is now in the finishing stages as stones for the new inspection pits are painstakingly measured, cut and placed by hand to ensure an exact match. These replace the old metal grates and will be almost invisible when finished! We are posting regular updates on progress to social media, and there are lots more exciting developments tell you about in the coming weeks as the project unfolds.
