The Palace Gardens at Southwell Minster are looking for garden volunteers to help maintain this special site right at the heart of the Southwell community. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get outside, learn new skills and meet new people. You’ll be working alongside our friendly garden team to undertake a range of tasks that will help keep the gardens looking beautiful all year around. There’s a diverse range of activities to get stuck in to. These include;
• dead-heading, weeding & staking
• lifting & dividing perennials
• caring after trees & shrubs
• edging the grass
• rose pruning
• propagation in the greenhouse
• being a friendly face to visitors exploring the garden.

This would be a fun and rewarding experience for all skill levels, from garden novices to horticultural specialists. There’s green-fingered opportunities for everyone!
If you can spare a couple of hours every week or would like to volunteer on a more ad-hoc basis, this could be the welcoming and sociable environment you’ve been looking for. Why not get in touch with Head Gardener Claire Connely to find out more. Email claire.connely@southwellminster.org.uk

No experience needed, full training and support given.
