Work continues on our #LeavesofSouthwell project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. After 18 months of having skilled contractors on site undertaking exciting conservation work to the Chapter House, essential repairs to the roof and improvements to the safety and appearance of the Minster both inside and out, we are fast approaching the final straight with just a few months to go. The trenches, which now go almost all the way around the Minster’s exterior, may be unsightly at the moment but cabling and installation of new low level lighting along all external paths and for the new floodlights is almost completed.
